Document History

View all changes made on a doc and revert to previous versions.
The document history lets you see what has been added, modified, or deleted in a doc since its creation date. Think of it as a changelog.

Opening the doc history

To access the doc history:
Click the 3-dot menu in the top-right corner of your doc.
    Click History.

Using the doc history

In doc history, the list of versions appears in the right sidebar, and the selected version replaces the doc in the main panel. Each version also has its own URL.
Relevant changes made in each editing session will be highlighted.
To restore an older version, select the version you want to go back to, click Restore in the banner, and confirm in the prompt. Before reverting, Slite checkpoints your current version (including unsaved edits) so you can return to it later. History then closes, returning you to the restored doc.
Use the slider in the banner to move between edits within a version.

How are doc versions triggered?

Slite records a version in history after a period of inactivity. After you update your doc, Slite will wait 5 minutes before adding that version.

Important notes

You'll see Slitebot appearing sometimes. This is simply our system.
Restoring a previous version of a collection is not supported at this time.
If you have lost some work and are not able to restore to a previous version, please contact us at  support@slite.com .
